Quickly embed an image without hotlinking

Lifehacker shows a wonderful way to embed an image to your site/blog without actually hotlinking. Web site ImgRed (Image Redirection) lets you quickly embed an image from another web site and embed it elsewhere without leeching bandwidth from the source. Just grab the URL of the image and append it to http://imgred.com/

(e.g., http://imgred.com/http://example.com/pic.jpg). The site copies the image to their server the first time it’s requested, then serves it up permanently.

Its a pain to save the image from a site locally, upload somewhere and then use that image. This alternative not only very smart but extremely time-saving. As we all know that its not a good idea to hotlink an image from someone’s site and steal their bandwidth.
